Congratulations to Madelyn Elmore for being selected as the CHHS April Senior of the Month!

Congratulations to our Robotics team for their 2nd place finish at their competition this weekend. This was the team's first competition and they competed against 30 teams from across VA and Washington DC. The team also took home the Rookie All-Star trophy for their performance.

French and Dual Enrollment Spanish students visited the VA Museum of Fine Arts.

Stacie Anderson, owner/operator of @cfacolonialheights spoke to the Dual Enrollment Introduction to Business students this morning. She shared her entrepreneurial journey, the specifics of the Chick-fil-A franchise model, and personal insights on the challenges and rewards of business ownership. She also provided one of their favorite breakfast products as a treat for the class!

The CHHS Teachers for Tomorrow competed at the state Educators Rising Conference. The group worked hard and had a great time celebrating and elevating the teaching profession.

DECA state qualifiers went to Va Beach this weekend and brought home an Annual Report Trophy, Community Service Award, District President Award, and our very own newly elected DECA VA State Officer, Lily DeRosie, Region IV Vice President


Fashion Marketing and Hospitality students received behind the scenes classroom tours of VCU’s school of Art highlighting Fashion, Tech Design, and Merchandising in RVA. Students met professors and students studying multiple career paths.


The Class of 2026 hosted a brunch for our Seniors. Thank you to our class sponsors, class officers, and class of 2026 parents for setting up the event, feeding our Seniors, and giving them the opportunity to spend time with each other. Graduation is only 3 months away! @chpsk12

Our boys' basketball team had a season to remember! The team went 16-4 for the season. The teams’ number of total wins, Central District wins (8), and overall win percentage is the best/most since 1982.

Congratulations to our Scholastic Bowl team for winning the 3A Region Scholastic Bowl Competition! The team will be moving on to the 3A state competition.

Landon was 1st place in the 200 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke at the 3A Region Meet.
Emily was 1st place in the 100 Freestyle at the 3A Region Meet.

We wish our amazing CHHS School Counseling team a Happy National School Counseling Week! We are so thankful for the constant love, compassion, and energy shown to our students, parents, staff members, and CH community members each day.


CHHS and all CHPS schools will operate on a 2-hour delay on Wednesday, February 4th. Breakfast and lunch will be served at all schools. All CHHS students and parents/guardians (with an active email address in PowerSchool) have been emailed more information and a CHHS 2-hour delay schedule.
Road and weather conditions will be re-evaluated Wednesday morning to ensure the safety of our students and staff.
