Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) is a national student organization endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education, which operates in secondary, post secondary, and collegiate institutions as an integral part of the Health Science Education Curriculum for the purpose of promoting healthcare career opportunities and to prepare students to successfully pursue a health career.

Interact Club
Description
The Interact Club is a service organization that works closely with the Colonial Heights Rotary Club to make our community a better place. We sponsor a number of altruistic projects such as the End Polio Now Fundraiser and Holiday Giving Tree. The club also provides other volunteer opportunities within the community for students sponsored by the Colonial Heights Rotary.

International Thespian Society (ITS)
Description
The International Thespian Society (ITS) is an honorary society for Theatre Arts students dedicated to raising the standards of high school Drama. Members must be invited to join. Requirements are based on well-rounded participation and involvement in the Colonial Players.
Requirements
Colonial Players Member & participation in productions.
* Inductees must earn 10 points, 5 of which should be awarded for work done at the school where he or she will be inducted.
* In general, 1 point represents approx 10 hours of excellent work
* A Thespian moving to another affiliated school is entitled to transfer his or her membership
* Induction points should be earned through participation in at least two full-length productions, or one full-length and two one-acts, or four one-acts.
* Induction points should be earned in at least two of the listed categories, for example, acting and production

Junior Optimist International Club
Description
The JOI (Junior Optimist International) Club is a service organization that works closely with the Colonial Heights Optimist Club to support the youth of our community. We work with the Optimist Club on fundraisers such as the BIB Tournament, Fort Clifton Festival and Brunswick Stew and volunteer with the annual Kids Fishing Fun Day, Fall Carnival and Santa Pancake Breakfast, among other volunteer activities.

National Honor Society
Description
National Honor Society is a service organization. In order to qualify for selection, students must meet the GPA requirement. Students are selected based on scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Students complete an activity form which lists any activities, service projects, and awards that they have achieved while they have been attending CHHS. Teachers, coaches and sponsors evaluate each of the candidates. All of this information is compiled and evaluated by the Faculty Council which consists of five voting faculty members. The Faculty Council selects new members on the basis of the selection criteria.
New members are inducted during a formal ceremony which is held in the CHHS Auditorium in November.
Requirements
Must be a Junior or Senior and attended school for at least one semester.
Candidates eligible for selection to the Colonial Heights chapter shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of a 3.7. In order to remain in good standing, members must complete required volunteer service. Members also participate in group service projects, such as the Volunteer-a-thon, tutoring or attending the Special Olympics activities. Members are expected to attend one meeting each month and remain active in all club sponsored activities and fundraisers. Students must maintain the academic and behavioral expectations in order to remain in the organization. Juniors and Seniors that meet the GPA requirement will be invited to participate in the selection process.

Description
Student Cooperative Association tries to develop good school spirit involving loyalty and pride in Colonial Heights High School. The SCA consists of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Historian.
There are 16 Senators, 4 from each class, that serve as student representatives. Officers are elected by the student body.
