June is a new month that really closes out the 2020-2021 school year.  There are three weeks left and we will be busy.  Students are taking SOL and CTE tests.  Students know if they are included in this testing window.  Teachers told them and schedules have been sent out.  Children should check their school emails.

For underclassmen, we are making one last academic push.  Please encourage students to utilize the remaining time to boost up their class average, rather than hinder it.  If there are issues, summer school is a great option this year.  Please contact the school counseling office as soon as possible.  We are finalizing rosters.

For our seniors, we celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2021 with annual events like our Scholar’s Banquet, Scholarship Awards, CTE Awards, and Class Picnic.

The month culminates with our high school commencement ceremonies that become a community celebration where we award our graduates their diplomas and wish them well as they pursue post-secondary endeavors.

June also marks the start of summer break and an end to the principal’s blog.  Online thoughts will resume in August and there will be much to share.

The schools will be busy preparing to welcome students and staff back.  We cannot wait to roll out the 2021-2022 school year!  Until then, have a relaxing and safe summer break.  We will miss you.
GO COLONIALS!

With Pride,
