 Class of 2018!

Are you excited?  It is that time of year where we start taking formal yearbook pictures in our cap and gown.  Our school has adopted a new gown for all starting this year.  It is very snazzy and Colonial!

Candid Color will be at CHHS on July 17 & July 24 for Senior Portrait Sessions.

If you are NOT getting your cap and gown picture with our photographer-Candid Color, then, you will need to contact  CHHS to check availability and reserve a gown for the day.

Gowns will be available for purchase in September 2017. Heriff Jones will have meetings with seniors and provide ordering packets on September 8th, October 3rd, October 4th and october 10th.

Principal's Message

The Fall Activities Season has begun, which means that the high school halls are starting to have students and teachers mulling about. Summer time is a much needed respite, but schools are meant to have children in them. The high school team is ready to get the 2017-2018 school year rolling. It is going to be another great one!

Besides a caring and inviting staff, we have new facilities to share with our students. Construction at the high school will be completed by the time the children officially return on September 5th. Children will now have state of the art science laboratories and a new circuit training weight room. The spaces are beautiful and our school board, central office, and city council had large hands in making this happen.

Our technology department has been working diligently to provide chromebooks for every member of our 11th and 12th grade classes. The goal is to continue this 1:1 initiative and expand it to 9th and 10th grade classes the following school year.

Team school counseling continues to finalize student schedules. We will be ready to welcome our Class of 2021 at Ninth Grade Orientation on August 31st at 10 AM. Parents/guardians are encouraged to come with their student. Students will have the opportunity to obtain their schedules, work their lockers, and meet their teachers. There will also be an open session to start the festivity in the auditorium where general expectations are discussed, class sponsors are introduced, and a student fashion show of what to wear and not wear is performed.

Grades 10-12 will not be left out. We are having an Open House for these pupils from 3PM-6PM on August 31st. Class schedules will be distributed and students will have the opportunity to meet teachers and figure out their all important lunch crew plans.

Enjoy the remainder of your summer Colonials! We cannot wait to officially welcome you back very shortly! Let's go…

   With Pride,
